Rich, mathematical, and highly complex, the Cognometric Engine acts as a central coordination unit for UNOMI™, pulling information from the User Experience and Universal Risk Mitigation layers to develop predictive models, build consensus, and issue confidence ratings.
PREDICTIVE MODELLING
Each time a user engages UNOMI™, the User Experience layer relays cognitive and biometric observational data back to the Cognometric Engine. In this way, your users become more familiar to UNOMI™ – hence, more secure – every time they use it. On the basis of this observational data, the Cognometric Engine uses cognitive psychology to construct predictive models of how users will behave during future interactions.
CONSENSUS BUILDING
The Cognometric Engine builds consensus by comparing your users’ actual experiences with predictive models, while taking into account a multitude of other factors supplied by both the User Experience and Risk Mitigation layers. Examples include local factors such as a user’s physical location, and global factors such as a worldwide increase in ‘phishing’ schemes.
CONFIDENCE RATING
After performing a complete statistical analysis on all of these factors, the Cognometric Engine issues a confidence rating – an index score that reflects the likelihood that a particular user’s identity claim is valid.
